Delane Fitzgerald is not just known for being the head coach at Frostburg State University. The man is also known for being a strong leader and mentor for athletes and youth. This is something that he has proven through years of dedication and experience. His abilities have aided in him being presented the “James Lough Leadership Award”, as well as the “John David Kraus Leadership Award. He has also been presented with the “Southern Virginia University Coach of the Year” award. All of these accolades have contributed to him having a successful career as a football coach. Strong leadership is something that takes time to develop, but is a valuable life skill.
